Version 1.0.2 is the biggest update since launch: it changes how a match looks from start to finish.
The table, in 3D
- Perspective view. The table is seen at an angle, with depth: the far side smaller, the rods running away and the players changing size with where they stand.
- Materials. Textured felt, lacquered wood, polished steel rods, soft shadows and the floodlights on the pitch.
- The rod you control glows in your team's colour, and the ball leaves a trail when it flies.
A stadium around it
- Full stands. Two rings of seats, boxes, a roof with its lights and big screens, on a real grass pitch.
- The supporters. Flares with smoke, flags, confetti and streamers; on a goal the whole stand is on its feet, jumping.
Camera and celebrations
- The opening. Before kick-off the camera goes all the way round the table, with fireworks over the stadium.
- Goals. The camera swings to the goal and the team that scored somersaults on its rods.
- The end. Winning and losing each have their own animation, and the winner gets a lap of honour.
Also
- A new opening when the app starts.
- Menu buttons light up as you move over them.
On modest devices, low graphics quality turns the stadium and the effects off so the game stays smooth.
