Version 1.0.1 of Taca Taca for Atari 8-bit computers is ready to download: the first update since launch.
What changed
- English and Spanish. The whole game in both languages: menu, messages, banners, cups and national teams. It starts in English and the L key switches.
- Proper goals. It is only a goal when the ball goes through the goalmouth. The bug that awarded goals when the ball hit outside is fixed.
- Even matches. The bounce off the players is the same for both sides: blue used to have an edge. And the ball no longer gets stuck.
- Champion screen. Win a cup final and the cup shows up, drawn in three shades of gold, with the name of the tournament.
- New title screen. A bigger logo in its right proportion, a shorter menu showing the key for each option, and the version at the bottom.
- Smoother on NTSC. The game spreads the work of each frame better on 60 Hz machines.
The download is still free, as a .xex, an .atr or a .zip with both and the instructions. The Atari manual is up to date too.
